Designing the classrooms of the future

The results of the project have been published in a form of a magazine “Designing the future classroom” Nº2, available in five languages. The articles include stories from teachers and project partners, as well as a preview to the iTEC school pilot results and training activities, including the Future Classroom Scenarios course.

Nov 10 CFP ENGCORPORA2015 Extended deadline

This Conference is intended as a gathering for corpus linguists working on any aspect of the English language and concerned with corpora issues. The main issues that this conference aims at debating are:

– the use and reliability of a corpus in the hypothesis-building process

– the use of corpora in linguistics courses or in language courses

– How corpora can advance research into the diversity of “Englishes” and the question of norms.

Seeing Is Believing: Visual vs. Linear Content

“In order for our learners to see how designing information changes how it is viewed, the students this year placed their visual infographics side-by-side with their linear notes to see the transformation. It was the “ah ha” moment, when they could examine how the delivery of content mattered and how the deliberate choices in font hierarchy, color selection, and placement changed the way others perceived the ideas.”
